Brass gaskets are durable, corrosion-resistant sealing components known for their excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. Made from a copper-zinc alloy, brass gaskets are ideal for low to moderate pressure applications where resistance to water, fuel, mild chemicals, and non-sparking performance is required.

These gaskets are commonly used in electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, fuel lines, instrumentation, and marine equipment, offering a reliable seal with the added benefit of conductivity and machinability. Brass is also non-magnetic and has good wear resistance, making it suitable for precision components and environments where magnetic interference must be avoided.

Brass gaskets and laminated brass gaskets are both used for sealing and conductive applications, but they differ in structure and performance. Solid brass gaskets are made from a single sheet of brass, offering excellent corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity, and durability in environments such as plumbing, marine, and fuel systems. They are ideal for applications where a strong, reliable, and conductive seal is required.

Laminated brass gaskets, on the other hand, are constructed from multiple thin layers of brass bonded together. This design enhances compressibility, conformability, and vibration resistance, making laminated gaskets particularly well-suited for electrical contacts, EMI shielding, and precision sealing in sensitive equipment. Their layered structure also allows for improved performance in systems with slight surface imperfections.
