Metal seals are high-performance sealing components engineered for extreme pressure, temperature, and corrosive environments where traditional rubber or elastomer seals may fail. Unlike flat gaskets or shims, metal seals are typically precision-machined or formed into shapes such as O-rings, C-rings, E-rings, or spring-energized profiles, and are used in dynamic and static applications where reliability is critical.
Manufactured from materials like stainless steel, Inconel, copper, and Hastelloy, metal seals offer exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability. They are widely used in aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, cryogenic, and high-vacuum systems, especially where leak-tight performance is essential under extreme operating conditions.
