Rubber Seals

Oleumfield Tech can create custom seals for exact specifications

Rubber seals are flexible, high-performance components designed to prevent the passage of fluids, gases, or contaminants between two surfaces in dynamic or static applications. Unlike gaskets and shims, which are primarily flat and used for spacing or compression sealing, rubber seals are often molded or extruded into shapes like O-rings, lip seals, U-cups, and V-rings, and are used in moving parts, rotating shafts, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.

Rubber seals are commonly made from materials such as Nitrile (Buna-N), EPDM, Viton (FKM), Silicone, and Neoprene, each selected based on resistance to temperature, pressure, chemicals, oils, weather, or ozone. These seals are critical in industries like automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing, plumbing, and heavy equipment.

At Oleumfield Tech, we supply and custom-manufacture high-quality rubber seals for both standard and complex sealing applications, ensuring long-lasting performance and protection against leaks, friction, and wear.

Material
Key Properties
Typical Use Cases
Polyurethane
High abrasion resistance, limited heat tolerance
Hydraulic seals, energy absorption components
Neoprene
Moderate oil/fuel resistance, good weatherability
Older aerospace systems, HVAC seals
Metal (Stainless, Inconel, Copper)
Used in metal-jacketed, spiral wound, or solid gaskets for high-pressure environments
Flanges, compressors, exhaust systems
PTFE (Teflon®)
Non-reactive, high temp resistance, chemical inertness; non-elastomeric
Cryogenic systems, chemical sealing, high-purity aerospace seals
EPDM
Excellent weather, steam, and water resistance, but not suitable for oil/fuel
Aerospace ground systems, HVAC, water seals
Nitrile (Buna-N)
Good resistance to petroleum oils, fuels, and greases; economical
Hydraulic systems, oilfield equipment

Neoprene Rubber Seals

Rubber seals are durable components used to prevent fluid or gas leakage in dynamic systems, ideal for sealing shafts, cylinders, and moving parts in industrial and automotive applications.
